Obituary of William Wallace Mosher
MOSHER, William Wallace - 85, Canso, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late John and Blanche (Baker) Mosher. He was a retired inshore fisherman and a member of the Star of the Sea parish, Canso and Branch 46, Royal Canadian Legion, Canso. William enlisted in 1942, serving with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders. He is survived by his daughters, Sylvia (John) Fletcher, Bridgewater; Rosina White, Oshawa, Ont.; Tina (Joe) Pelley and Ida (Terry) Ernest, both of Bridgewater; Ada (Len) Lawrence and Susie, both of Canso; sons, Benjamin (Mary), Little Dover; Wesley (Genesta), Fox Island; Alvin (Lisa), Arichat; Ronnie, at home; 25 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife the former , Helen Agatha (Nellie) Mason; sister, Mary Wentzell; three sons, two daughters, one granddaughter and one son-in-law.
Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Father Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
