Obituary of Stanley Sprott Misener

MISENER, Stanley Sprott - 92, Port Hawkesbury, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2005, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born June 1, 1913, in West Liscomb, he was a son of the late Emery and Maud (Langille) Meisener of Port Hawkesbury. He was a former employee of CN, retiring in 1978, after 46 years of service. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by sons, Keith (Helen), Lynn, Mass.; Kenneth (Jean), Lower Sackville; George, at home; Gary (Sylvia), Dartmouth; daughter, Marjorie (Ray) Levangie, Trenton; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Ruple, in January 2004; sisters, Sybil in infancy, Alma and Edith; brothers, John, Lawrence and Don. Visitation will be today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, both in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury, Mr. Charles O'Regan and Mr. Gordon Hazelwood officiating. Burial will be in Kempt Road Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations in memory of Stanley may be made to a charity of one's choice.
