Obituary of Murdock Cameron Matheson

MATHESON, Murdock Cameron - 69, Blues Mills, Inverness Co., passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2004, in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck, after a brief illness. Born in Little Narrows, he was a son of the late Frank and Annie J. (Cameron) Matheson. He was a beloved father, brother, uncle and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Wright); daughters, Cheryl (Darrell) Tannahill, Dartmouth; Marion (Duane) Rhyno, Bedford; son, Frank, Ottawa; grandchildren, Laura (12), Blake and Connor (6); sisters, Audrey Myers, Dorothy (Joe) Gillis, Frances (Bernard) Kenny, all of United States; Marina Young, Aberdeen; Murdell (John) MacLean, Sydney; brothers, Ernest, Little Narrows; Barry (Val), Calgary; Jim (Judith), Bedford; aunt, Mary (Kenny) Matheson, Jubilee; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday in Little Narrows Presbyterian Church, Rev. Adam Lees officiating. Burial will be in Stewartdale Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
