Obituary of Joseph Frederick Morash
MORASH, Joseph Frederick - 94, Whiteside, formerly of Point Tupper, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 28, 2005, in Richmond Villa, St. Peter's. He was a son of the late John and Elizabeth (Power) Morash. Joe was a labourer and retired from the Nova Scotia Department of Water Resources, Landrie Lake. He was a member of St. Patrick's Parish, Whiteside.
He is survived by son, Clarence (Harriet), Cleveland; daughters, Lydia (Peter) MacDonald, West Bay Road; Helen Comeau, Kempt Road; Mary (John) Hayes, Port Hawkesbury; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Rita MacDonald, Port Hawkesbury; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret (Maddox); brothers, Tom, Tim, Clarence; sisters, Mary and Theresa; son-in-law, Fred Comeau.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 1, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, in St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Lower River Inhabitants, Father Hughie D. MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Whiteside. Donations in memory of Joe may be made to Richmond Villa, St. Peter's; St. Patrick's Cemetery or a charity of choice.
