Obituary of Mary Alice McDonald
McDONALD, Mary Alice ? 64, Mulgrave, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2004, at home.
Born in Guysborough, she was a daughter of the late John Henry and Mary Alice (Long) Andrews.
She was a member of St. Lawrence Parish, Mulgrave, a member of Ladies Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion Branch 37, Cambrai, and also, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Mulgrave Volunteer Fire Department. She taught sewing classes.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Basil “Buddy” McDonald; stepdaughter, Donna (Wayne) Steeves, Riverside, Albert Co, N.B.; daughters, Shirley (Keith) MacDonald, Lake Echo; Patricia “Pabby” (Carl) Woodworth, Mulgrave; Carmel (Joey) Benoit, Port Hawkesbury; stepson, Bernie McDonald, Mulgrave; son, Jimmy (Claudette) McDonald, Stewiake; sisters, Eleanor and Hazel, both of Antigonish; Ruth, Guysborough; brothers, Troy (Judy), Linwood, Art (Janice), Auld's Cove; Gerry and Wayne, Guysborough; Edwin, Antigonish; Basil, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Todd, Tammy, Craig, Crystal, Amie, Holly, Sarah, Jenna and Nicholas; great-grandchild, Anna Marie Dixon. She was predeceased by brother, Claire.
Visitation was held 2 p.m. on Friday in Mulgrave & Area Resting Place.
Funeral mass was held 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Konstanty Pruszynski officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.
