Obituary of Donald John MacCalder

MacCALDER, Donald John - 88, Southside River Denys, died at home on Sunday, February 29, 2004. Born in Orangedale, he was a son of the late Alex D. and Margaret (MacKinnon) MacCalder. He was a retired employee of Georgia-Pacific Corporation, Big Brook. He was a member, elder and choir member of the River Denys Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of Denysdale Senior Citizens Club. He is survived by sons, Ivan, River Denys; Wallace, Malagawatch; Donald (Ellen), Calgary; Allan (Doreen), Donnelly, Alta.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Nellie; daughter, Louise; grandson, Alexander Wallace; sisters, Bessie MacMillan, Annie Raymond, Margaret Jenkins, Jessie Belle MacIver; brothers, John, Lauchie and Donald in infancy. No visitation by request. Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday in River Denys Presbyterian Church, Rev. Dr. Floyd McPhee officiating. Burial in Fir Grove Cemetery at a later date.
