Obituary of Eva Maud MacLean

The death of Eva Maud (Beane) MacLean occurred at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on March 3, 2004. Born at East Angus, Quebec on September 20, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Oren and Edna (Johnston) Beane. She was the wife of the late Roderick Wilbur MacLean. Eva is survived by her daughters Laura Greeley of Clearwater, FL and Edna Revels (Bob) of Bedford, sons Ian (Glenda) MacLean of Chapleau, ON and Oren (Jessie) MacLean of Sussex Corner, ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, sister Esther Bell of Sherbrooke, PQ, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Eva was predeceased by her sisters Florence Gillispie, Stella Beane and Ruth McKirdy and brothers Ivan, Charlie and Earl Beane. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506-433-2133) on Saturday from 2-9 PM and at the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home Whycocomagh, Cape Breton on Sunday from 4-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel in Whycocomagh on Monday March 8, 2004 at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place at the Malagawatch Cemetery, Malagawatch Cape Breton.
