Obituary of Neil Angus 'Angie' MacDonald
MacDONALD, Neil Angus 'Angie' - 67, Whycocomagh Mountain, passed away peacefully in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, Monday, March 15, 2004, surrounded by his family.
Born in Whycocomagh, he was a son of the late Duncan and Cassie (MacKinnon) MacDonald.
He was an adherent of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, and was retired from Stora Woodlands Division after 27 years.
He will be missed by his special pet, Snuggles. He is survived by special nieces, Brenda (Gary) Nicholson, Whycocomagh Mountain; Krista and Jordan MacDonald, Baddeck; sisters, Kaye Hussey, Margaret 'Toots' (Norman 'Blackie') MacPherson, Marion Bridge; brothers, Malcolm and Alfred, Ontario; nieces and nephews, Judy, Lynn, Janet, Weldon, Marion Bridge; Sharon (Howard) Gillis, Dartmouth; Wayne (Jodi), Fall River; Danny and Vince, Ontario; Alison (Mark), New Glasgow; Kevin (Sara), Montreal, Que.; Heather, Ontario; Sharon, Cathy, Judy, Eileen, Lilly and Debbie, Elliot Lake; grandnieces and grandnephews, Eoin and Liam Hussey, Sydney; Nicole (Dave) Stroop, Dartmouth; Vance and Ryan Gillis, Dartmouth; Anna MacDonald, Montreal; sisters-in-law, Christene, Carolyn, Florence and Pearl; close family friend, Herman MacKinnon, Whycocomagh Mountain. He was predeceased by brothers, Johnie, Gordon, A.D., and Rev. Alex; sister, Maye Lamonte; niece, Donna MacPherson; nephew, Brian Hussey; brother-in-law, Earl Hussey.
Visitation will be held 2-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Rev. Lloyd Murdock officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
Donations may be made to St. Andrew's Ladies Aide or SPCA because of Angie's great love for animals.
