Obituary of Malcolm Neil MacInnis
MacINNIS, Malcolm Neil - 78, Little Narrows, Victoria Co., died Saturday, Novemeber 6, 2004, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Little Narrows, he was a son of the late John E. and Harriet (Stubbs) MacInnis. He retired from the Little Narrows Gypsum Plant after 44 years of service. He was a member and elder of the Little Narrows Presbyterian Church, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Dr. Gordon MacLeod Chapter No. 37, and a member of the Sircom Masonic Lodge No. 66, Whycocomagh. Malcolm was a devouted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He lived life to the fullest and had a wonderful sense of humour. He is survived by his loving wife, Rae; children, Wayne, Calgary; Linda (Greg) MacKenzie, Whycocomagh; Calvin, Baddeck; Melvin (Cathy), Whycocomagh; Darrell (Charlotte), Cobourg, Ont.; Kevin (Donna), Calgary; Darlene (Frank), Iona; sisters, Phyllis Bryan, Manitoulin Island, Ont.; Harriet (Joe) Livingston, Waltham, Mass.; several nieces and nephews; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by a son, Cecil; a grandson, Steven; and three grandchildren in infancy; brothers, Gussie, Aulay, Cecil and Jackie.
Visitation will be Tuesday 2-9 p.m. with a masonic service at 7 p.m., both in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in Little Narrows Presbyterian Church, Rev. Ron Sharpe officiating. Burial in Little Narrows Cemetery with a reception to follow in the church hall.
