Obituary of Andrew Anthony MacNeil

MacNEIL, Andrew Anthony - 43, Margaree Forks, formerly of Lower River Inhabitants, died Sunday, May 29, 2005, in Moncton, N.B. Born in Arichat, Richmond Co., he was a son of the late Roderick D. and Mary Jane (Hill) MacNeil. He was a steam pipefitter, a member of local 244 International Brotherhood of Pipefitters, Antigonish. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish, Lower River Inhabitants. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary (Hinkley); daughter, Alicia Christine, at home; son, Roderick Daniel, at home; sisters, Carolyn (Paul) McNamara, Lower River Inhabitants; Louise (Calvin) Thomas, Louisdale; Verla MacNeil (Sander Cogswell), Roseann MacNeil (Michael Cogswell), both of Evanston; Valerie (Raphael) DeCoste, Port Hawkesbury; brother, Brian (Jane) Dorey, Rocky Bay; godchildren, Jared McNamara, Reginald Marshall, Cody Hinkley; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, David. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Father Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
