Obituary of Kenneth James MacLeod

MacLEOD, Kenneth James - 77, MacKenzie Point Road, West Bay, died Friday, November 11, 2005, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in West Bay Marshes, he was a son of the late James B. and Mary Belle (Mac-Lachlan) MacLeod. He was a retired hard rock miner with INCO Ltd., Creighton Mine, in Sudbury, Ont., for 35 years. He was an adherent of West Bay United Church. He served with the occupation forces in Germany for three years. He is survived by sister, Mary Margaret Thomson, West Bay Marshes; brother, Philip, West Bay Marshes; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Alex H., Johnnie, Ross; sister, Catherine Macdonald. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in West Bay United Church, Rev. Wilfred Pelley officiating. Burial in MacLeod Cemetery. Donations in memory of Kenneth may be made to the West Bay Road Volunteer Fire Department, Strait Richmond Hospital Foundation or a charity of choice.
