Obituary of Sarah Genesta 'Sadie' Manuel

MANUEL, Sarah Genesta 'Sadie' - 95, Canso, which occurred Saturday, September 18, 2004, in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Canso, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Josephine (Morris) Hanlon. She was a homemaker, a member of the Star of Sea Parish, Canso, and a former member of the CWL. She is survived by daughter, Josephine (Ron) MacDonald, Webster's Corner, P.E.I.; sons, Paul (Vivian), Shediac, N.B.; Maurice (Odele), Edmonton, Alta.; sisters, Ella (Gerry) Lessard, Markdale, Ont.; Theresa (Carl) Anstey, Dartmouth; sister-in-law, Alice Hanlon, Canso; brother, Ted (Georgette), Ottawa; brother-in-law, Joe Richard, Canso; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo; brothers, James, Charles, Richard and Tom; son, Daniel; stepson, Robert; sisters, Mary Sampson and Nora Richard. Visitation was held Sunday, September 19, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. today in Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Father Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
