Obituary of Ethel Viola Lumsden

LUMSDEN, Ethel Viola - 93, Canso, formerly of Half Island Cove, died Sunday, April 3, 2005, in Canso Seaside Manor. Born in Canso, she was a daughter of the late Naman and Arvilla (Hendsbee) Hendsbee. She was a homemaker and a member of Half Island Cove Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, Barry (Judy), Half Island Cove; Cyril, Halifax; Brian (Bertie), Souris, P.E.I.; brothers, Alvin, Oshawa, Ont.; Russell, Ottawa; Judson, U.S.A.; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Havelock Lumsden; sons, Frankie and Reid; daughters, Grace, Ruth, and June; several brothers and sisters. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Half Island Cove Baptist Church, Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Interment in Bayview Cemetery.
