Obituary of Joel William John 'Joel T.' Tullak
TULLAK, Joel William John 'Joel T.' - 62, We Koq'ma'q, First Nation, died peacefully at home Wednesday, January 12, 2005, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born in Pilik, Labrador, he was a son of the late Joel and Persida (Onalik) Tullak.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, We Koq'ma'q. He was a 'jack of all trades' and Joel would do anything for anybody, and was a devoted volunteer and a very well-known bingo caller.
He is survived by his common-law wife of 10 years, Barbara Isadore; sons, Anthony (Julia), Derek and Ivan, all at home; daughter, Mary (Philip) Rideout, New Brunswick; sisters, Bertha Spurrell, Newfoundland; Sybilla (Jim) Engram, Labrador, NL; grandchildren, Zoe, Lydia Dawn and Rebecca. Joel will also be sadly missed by family and friends.
Visitation for the late Joel Tullak will be Saturday after 4 p.m. at the residence of Barbara Isadore, 137 Subdivision Rd., We Koq'ma'q.
Funeral mass will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Father Bernie MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
