Obituary of Clayton William Hart
HART, Clayton William - 86, Port Shoreham, husband, father, family man and friend, passed away peacefully, April 1, 2005, at home with his loving family at his side. Born in Port Shoreham, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late William and Maude (Hadley) Hart. Through his lifetime, he worked as a self-employed carpenter and cabinet maker. He was also employed by Bowater Mersey Paper Company for several years. He was an active member of the Boylston United Church and served in various positions on the board. He was also involved in the community and enjoyed time with family and friends, curling, bowling and at Bayview Seniors' Club. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rose (Slater); son, Scott (Sharon) Hart; daughters, Joy (Jacques) Matte; Florence (Findlay) Muir; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today in Boylston United Church with Rev. Leonard Oracheski officiating. Burial will be in Manchester Community Cemetery followed by a reception in Bayview Seniors' Club. Family flowers only please. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Guysborough Memorial Hospital, Boylston United Church or Parkinson Society Canada, Maritime Region.
