Obituary of William David, Ph.D., FRC, Path Cohen

COHEN, William David, Ph.D., FRC, Path (Lond) - 76, Ashfield, Inverness Co., formerly of St. John's, NL, died Friday, December 10, 2004, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Samuel and Gertrude (Shick) Cohen. He was a retired clinical biochemist from the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's, NL, and the Memorial University Medical School. He is survived by his wife, the former Doris Sparkes; daughters, Elly, Topsail, NL; Rosalind, British Columbia; Denny (John) Horwood, Beachy Cove, NL; Della, British Columbia; sons, Michael (Cindy Mueller), Boise, Idaho; Tim (Linda Parsons), Beachy Cove, NL; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. There will be no funeral service. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, December 19, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, St. John's, NL, at a later date.
