Obituary of John Edward Byard

BYARD, John Edward - 81, Sunnyville, Guysborough Co., died on Tuesday, January 6, 2004, peacefully at home. Born in Sunnyville, he was a son of the late Walter and Sarah (Tynes) Byard. John's devotion to his children and family was truly inspirational and he will be dearly missed. He is survived by sons, Gerald and James; daughters, Mary, Elizabeth, Vivian and Lillian; several nieces and nephews; several grandchildren; one great-grandchild, Tyrell; brothers, Owen, Jerry and Howard; sisters, Florence and Emma. He was predeceased by his wife, Adeline (Clyke) Byard; brothers, Archie, Ronnie, Samuel and Joseph; sisters, Cora, Mary, Louise; sister-in-law, Gussie. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Sunnyville United Baptist Church where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 9, Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
