Obituary of Raymond Daniel Ashe Sr.

ASHE, Raymond Daniel Sr. - 74, Mulgrave, died Wednesday, December 14, 2005, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Mulgrave, he was a son of the late Norman and Ada (Talbot) Ashe. He was a retired construction worker and a member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Mulgrave. Surviving are his wife, the former Florence Izzard; daughters, Diane (Joseph) Borden, Deborah (Troy) Ashe-Murphy, Sheila Ashe, all of Dartmouth; Angela Ashe, Church Point, Yarmouth Co.; Sharon Ashe and Patricia Ashe, both of Dartmouth; sons, Raymond Jr., Mulgrave; Stephen, Kingston, Ont.; David (Joan), Mulgrave; Dennis, Halifax; sisters, Ardella Ashe-Gill and Evelyn Ashe, both of Mulgrave; Rita (Ken) Seals and Mae Ashe, both of Montreal, Que.; Alice Ashe, Sydney; brother, Silas, Mulgrave; grandchildren, Jason, Durrell, Courtney, Payton, Noah, Jarred, Brooke, Taylor, Peatrus, Christiana, Connor. He was predeceased by sisters, Helen Reddick and Annie; brothers, Russell and Seward. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Mulgrave and Area Resting Place. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Rev. Tory Byrne officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Donations in memory of Raymond may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or Mulgrave and Area Resting Place.
