Obituary of Gosbee, L. George
Surrounded by his loving wife and children, on May 25, 2005 at the Kings County Memorial Hospital, Montague of L. George Gosbee, from Montague and Murray River. Age 86 years. Born on February 13, 1919, the son of the late Alexander and Catherine (MacLean) Gosbee. A veteran of the second world war. Left to mourn is his loving wife Helen (Vuozzo) and his children Lorraine (Walter Vatcher), Little Sands, Glen (Loretta) Montague, Carter (Rose) Brampton Ont. Caroline (Sterling Palmer) High Bank, JoAnne (Gordon Murphy) Little Sands, Russell (Catherine) family home in Murray River, and Treena (Mitchel Weibel) Gladstone. He is survived by his only living sibling, his dear brother, Rev. Frank Gosbee and brother-in-law John Cox, both of Murray River. Known as Poppy, he was unconditionally loved by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many special friends. Resting at Southern Kings & Queens Funeral Home for visitation on Thursday May 26 from 2-3pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service to be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 27 at 11am. Interment in the Murray River Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Room at the Kings County Memorial Hospital.
